Leading Global Asset Manager who enjoyed expansion of theirAsiafootprint in 2011 is seeking to attract an experienced Compliance professional to lead the existing team across the Greater China region.

With growth forecast for their core and growth markets, this is an opportunity for an experienced Compliance professional to join at an exciting time for the organisation.

Role Description for Head of Compliance, Greater China

• Assume overall responsibility for all Compliance matters relating to products offered to clients as well as policy and procedure relating to the internal governance of the organisation across the stated region.
• Responsibility for maintaining the relationship with relevant regulatory bodies as to changes in guidelines, internal audits and on site inspections.
• Periodic review of and responsibility for existing policies and frameworks with improvement reporting to Senior Management in the region.
• Development and delivery of internal training programmes to enhance knowledge and Compliance culture within the organisation.

Requirements for Head of Compliance, Greater China

• Demonstrable experience in a compliance function, with experience of the Asset Management arena, ideally within a large international organisation and of a matrix reporting line.
• Understanding of the regulatory environment with knowledge of HK regulations and bodies preferable.
• Knowledge and experience of a variety of asset classes including Alternatives, Traditional, Real Estate and Pension Funds.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to operate in an international environment is key. Ideally you will have familiarity with US company laws and regulations.
• Experience of identifying and implementing positive change regarding Compliance awareness and culture highly beneficial.
